About Christa
Christa has been a dietitian for 10 years and has worked in a variety of settings and specialties, primarily in sports and human performance and GI. As an avid fitness professional and enthusiast and GI patient (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) herself, Christa can both personally empathize with and provide professional expertise to clients. Christa is also a mom of four and has an interest in preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum nutrition strategies to help improve outcomes in family planning. Nutrition can help bodies perform in a variety of situations and Christa strives to help her clients improve their health with balance and enjoyment.
Approach to care
Christa utilizes a non-diet, compassionate, client-centered approach to her care. She emphasizes building relationships, improving flexibility, and truly enjoying the path to better nutrition and fitness. As a weight-neutral practitioner, Christa desires to collaborate with her clients to determine the best path forward for them by striving to be effective rather than always correct. Individual care is essential and she aims to provide resources, knowledge and information, and support. Nutrition is confusing and often polarizing, but Christa will bring knowledge, practicality, and a sense of calm to the chaos.
Your first session with Christa
The first session with Christa is an opportunity for her to ask questions and get to know YOU. She will gain insight into what has worked in the past, what barriers exist, what your goals are, and how those goals ultimately align with who you are as a human being. Once this insight has been gained, Christa will move to some light education followed by goal setting. Collaborative goal setting will allow for sessions to feel organized and streamlined as well as provide a pathway for where you are headed.
