Approach to care
When working with patients, I aim to facilitate collaboration that combines my background in nutrition science with a patient's lived experience and personal health goals. Instead of giving a list of rules to follow, I provide education and assist patients in developing autonomy about their own food choices. This can include creating the space to explore emotions around eating, brainstorming recipe modifications, developing grocery shopping strategies, or even simply validating that someone does not have to enjoy cooking to provide healthy meals for themselves. In short, my goal is for patients to feel both physically and mentally good about their food choices.
Your first session with Christi
During our first session, we will get to know each other and outline your goals. I will gather information about your health history, personal food preferences, current daily schedule, and your relationship to physical activity and diet change. From there we will work together to create a series of short-term goals to move you towards your desired outcome (symptom management, improved lab work, confidence in meal planning, anti-inflammatory diet, etc.) I look forward to hearing from you!
