About Christian
My name is Christian Bernard, and I’ve been a Registered Dietitian since February 2023. I earned my master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Florida International University in Miami. I’m grateful to travel for work as an RD — the journey has just begun, and the future looks promising. My goal is to empower clients with science-based, practical guidance to manage both acute and chronic conditions. I believe nutrition is more than calories or macros — it’s cultural, emotional, and deeply personal. We all have unique relationships with food, and fostering a healthy one is vital for both individual and community well-being. When we stop labeling foods as “good” or “bad,” the challenges we face in the mirror, on the scale, and in our hearts become easier to manage.
Approach to care
I’ve worked in the acute care setting for over two years, caring for patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including type 1 and type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, chronic kidney disease, end-stage renal disease on dialysis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Two years in practice doesn’t make me an expert in every condition — the human body is complex, and everyone’s biochemistry is unique — but through evidence-based best practices, dietitians can create actionable strategies to slow disease progression and improve quality of life. The science of nutrition is constantly evolving. It’s important to stay current with the latest recommendations from organizations such as ASPEN, ASN, NIH, WHO, and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. I know keeping up with this research takes time — that’s where I come in. I’ll do the legwork for you, translating science into practical, personalized guidance you can trust.
