About Christian

Hi, I’m Christian! My journey to becoming a dietitian started when I was just 14 years old. After going through my own weight loss journey, I realized how much better I felt both mentally and physically. That experience sparked my passion for nutrition and gave me a clear sense of purpose: I wanted to be the support that others needed to feel the same way about their health and well-being. I earned my degree in Nutrition & Foods at Texas State University and completed my dietetic internship and graduate certificate at Illinois State University. Along the way, I gained experience in hospitals, schools, private practices, and athletic programs, including time with Northwestern University and the Chicago Fire Football Club. These opportunities gave me a strong foundation in both clinical nutrition and sports performance. I also speak fluent English, Spanish, and Portuguese so I can absolutely accommodate you in your preferred language :)

Approach to care

My focus as a dietitian is on sports nutrition, weight management, diabetes care, and heart health. I believe nutrition should be practical, realistic, and tailored to each individual. Everyone’s health journey is unique, so I work to meet clients where they are and create plans that feel both achievable and sustainable. Before becoming a dietitian, I worked in sales—a path that may seem unexpected but turned out to be one of the most valuable decisions I’ve made. That experience helped me develop skills in listening, connecting, and coaching others through challenges. Over the past two years as a nutrition counselor, I’ve seen how those skills help me build strong relationships with clients, provide clear and personalized guidance, and create a supportive space for lasting change.

Your first session with Christian

In your first session, we’ll spend time getting to know you—your health history, daily routines, goals, and any challenges you’ve faced along the way. I’ll ask questions to better understand not just what you eat, but also how your lifestyle, preferences, and motivations shape your nutrition habits. Together, we’ll create a plan that feels manageable, specific to your needs, and aligned with your long-term goals. My aim is to make sure you leave that first session feeling understood, supported, and equipped with clear next steps you can start using right away.
