About Christina
Hi there! I'm a Health At Every Size® (HAES) aligned, LGBTQIA+ friendly, and neurodivergent-friendly registered dietitian who is dedicated to helping clients improve their relationship with food and their bodies. I have experience working with individuals with eating disorders or disordered eating, as well as other health conditions such as pre-diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and PCOS. As a former athlete and current movement enthusiast, I also love helping athletes (recreational, collegiate, professional) figure out fueling strategies that work for them to optimize performance!
Approach to care
I utilize a Health at Every Size approach to my nutrition counseling while integrating intuitive eating principles to help you reach your health goals. We will take things week by week, or session by session, to see what strategies are working and where there are any barriers and challenges. I would describe my counseling style as empathetic, compassionate, and empowering. I strive to help others make peace with food and feel confident with their nutrition decisions!
Your first session with Christina
During our first session, I will take time to get to know you as a person, not just what is on a medical chart. You can expect me to gather information on your medical history, history of dieting/disordered eating, current nutrition practices, and activity level. We will discuss what your short and long-term nutrion goals are and leave time for questions or concerns you may have! Note: I have some December weekend availability to accommodate for the holidays but this will likely not continue after January.
Location
📍 Boston, Massachusetts
Education
Bachelor's of Science in Nutritional Sciences, Minors in Psychology and Biological Sciences from Rutgers University // Dietetic internship and Master's of Science in Nutrition and Health Promotion from Simmons University
Hobbies
In my free time, I enjoy cooking and baking (currently restarting my sourdough obsession), strength training, practicing yoga, and going on walks (mostly to get some sunshine and see cute dogs). I also love trying out new bakeries, cafes, and restaurants in the Boston area and am more than willing to provide recommendations whether you're nearby or intend to take a trip here! I admit I still have my go-to's for food and dessert orders (special shout out to tiramisu from Bova's in the north end).
