About Christina

With over 25 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse community in upstate New York—from supporting individuals facing food insecurity to helping families plan balanced, healthy meals. I specialize in helping clients manage diabetes, achieve sustainable weight loss, and improve overall wellness through personalized, realistic nutrition care. My approach combines evidence-based counseling with modern tools such as Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) and the latest diabetes and weight loss medications to create practical, results-driven plans. I have experience leading individual consultations and group education sessions, empowering clients to understand their bodies, make informed choices, and build confidence in managing their health leading to long term problem solving and lifelong healthy habits.

Approach to care

My goal is to make nutrition simple and sustainable by focusing on small, meaningful changes that lead to lasting results. I provide compassionate, tailored support to help every client reach their unique goals and live healthier, more fulfilling lives. My approach includes three key steps: 1) Education – Helping clients problem-solve and make confident choices through label reading, meal planning, and portion awareness, 2) Support – Offering ongoing encouragement, recipes, and accountability to create sustainable habits, and 3) Clinical Collaboration – Working with healthcare teams to ensure optimal care, including medication management and lab monitoring.

Your first session with Christina

Our first session is all about getting to know you—your goals, challenges, and lifestyle—so we can create a realistic plan that fits your needs. Together, we’ll identify small, healthy changes that move you toward your goals. My years of experience in lifestyle and behavior change allow me to provide insight and strategies tailored to you. I believe food should be enjoyed, not restricted, and that balance—not deprivation—is the key to long-term success.

Education

After graduating from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC, I returned to my hometown in upstate New York. My career began in nutrition consulting for long-term care facilities and outpatient counseling with local physicians. I later joined a hospital system, providing outpatient care, cardiac rehab, and dialysis counseling, and helped launch a successful Diabetes Prevention Program. These experiences inspired me to earn advanced certifications in diabetes and weight management.
