About Christine
During my time as a Registered Dietitian, I have been privileged to partner with clients in many different clinical nutrition settings and stages of life. I thrive on continued education so I can provide cutting edge care to everyone. On a personal level, I enjoy relationship with people, including my five amazing adult children and six grandkids. I aim to treat everyone like a valued member of my family and close friends while upholding high professional standards. My varied personal and professional background fosters deep connection with my clients. I am passionate about helping people use nutrition to live their best lives.
Approach to care
It is my desire to truly hear where my clients are coming from, creating a comfortable atmosphere for them to be themselves, without expectations or judgment. My goal is to encourage people to have a healthy relationship with food and to realistically understand how food impacts their bodies and total personhood. To do this together with my clients, I offer nutrition education to interest and motivate clients. I believe defined, achievable goals over the course of time result in long-lasting improvement in healthy lifestyle patterns. I aim to meet client expectations and will request truthful and direct feedback at each session.
Your first session with Christine
First session is a time of mutual introduction and clarification of expectations for the counseling relationship. I will gather details of your medical and nutrition history in order to develop an accurate, individualized nutrition plan. We will discuss what has worked or not worked for you in past efforts to improve healthy lifestyle. I may suggest future education topics and ask for feedback about these ideas. I will guide you to set one or more short-term goals for the next session. I will ask for to share how well the session has met your expectations on a scale of 1-10 to help guide our future sessions. Follow-up visits can then be scheduled.
