About Colleen
I'm a non-diet Dietitian with experience in sustainable health and wellness, Intuitive Eating, Disordered Eating, Diabetes, and Pre/Postnatal Nutrition. I'm very passionate about all things food, including exploring new restaurants, cooking new recipes at home, and helping people enjoy food again. I'm originally from Buffalo, NY, moved to Cleveland, OH for my Bachelors in Biology from John Carroll University and my Masters in Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University, and ended up in Columbus, OH for my dietetic internship at The Ohio State University. I decided to make Columbus, OH my home after making some of my best friends here!
Approach to care
I use Motivational Interviewing to really get to know you and what your needs are and help you accomplish your nutrition goals in a way that works with your lifestyle. I collaborate with you to create small goals at each session to use as stepping stones towards your long term goals. I'm passionate about sustainable behavior change, Intuitive Eating, mindful eating, food freedom, anti-(fad)diet and I'm HAES (Health at Every Size)-aligned.
Your first session with Colleen
You can expect the first session to be a deep dive on your history with nutrition, health, dieting, family, medical, current eating styles, goals and more to really get to understand where you're coming from. Of course, there are so many other factors that may impact your nutrition, so we'll really just use this time to get to know you! From there, we will work together to create small goals to help you get started on making progress towards your long term goals.
