About Colleen
Hi, I’m Colleen. With 22 years as a Registered Dietitian, I draw from clinical hospital care, corporate wellness, research, and community health to support real-world change. I earned my MS in Nutrition from Long Island University and practice with the RDN and CDN credentials guiding evidence-based care. I love turning science into doable steps my clients can actually fit into daily life. When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me in the kitchen cooking, on the road traveling, with a book in hand, or painting. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit to every session.
Approach to care
My care philosophy is collaborative, sustainable, and patient centered. I ground every plan in current evidence and translate science into practical actions. I aim to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to make changes that fit your life. I embrace a Health At Every Size approach, focusing on behaviors, wellbeing, and long-term health rather than quick fixes or dieting. We’ll tailor guidance to your values, resources, and daily realities, with education that helps you feel confident making choices.
Your first session with Colleen
Our first appointment is all about you. We’ll review your medical history, labs or biometrics, and establish short-term goals to get started. No need to have every detail figured out beforehand; this is a collaborative conversation where your experiences shape the plan. We’ll discuss your routines, preferences, barriers, and what sustainable changes feel doable. By the end, you’ll have a clear path and a couple of realistic steps you can begin this week.
