Patient reviews

  • Courtney is amazing! She is well-informed and I lowkey consider her to be another therapist for me. She is all about health-at-any-size and breaking the barriers within the mind built up by toxic diet culture to help her clients live a healthier and more free life.

  • It was a pleasure working with Courtney; she was insightful, friendly and supportive. She worked with me on goals during a new life transition, saw where I could make improvements, and gave me tips to help me make sustainable choices. I appreciated her support and understanding, and have an excellent foundation for my health and habits.

  • Cortney was knowledgeable, friendly, and great to work with! She took the time to learn my goals and we worked together to get a high level view of my diet, then discussed where I could make improvements to support my goal of general health and longevity. We dove into various aspects of nutrition and discussed practical, easy changes I could make in my diet. I really appreciated her approach, which focused more on directional improvements rather than strict diets or macro/calorie counting

About Cortney

Hello, my name is Cortney! I became a dietitian because, long story short, I needed one! Growing up in the early 2000's diet culture and having to re-create a balanced and nourishing relationship with food inspired me to become a dietitian. I found my passion in behavioral health and eating disorder nutrition therapy. I have worked in many settings - inpatient, partial hospitalization, and most recently outpatient - supporting adults and adolescents with a wide variety of disorder eating issues: yo-yo dieting, restriction, weight gain/restoration, medical stabilization, binging, purging, over-exercising, and picky eating. You'll find myself following a non-diet, weight neutral approach that focuses on nourishment and enjoyment. If you enjoy science, humor, and seeing your provider as a teammate in your care - I'm the dietitian for you.

Approach to care

In our sessions, you'll find an individualized and collaborative approach, as every person brings a unique background, perspective, struggles, strengths, and goals for their health journey. Together we work as a team to delicately explore all these areas and create a treatment roadmap, using tools that are backed by evidenced based research. What tools we use and how we use them will be decided upon together. I provide clients with nutrition education in conjunction with a structured and flexible eating plan, unwavering support, and practical ways to release the grasp of the eating disorder/disordered eating patterns and behaviors that are keeping you stuck. You deserve to enjoy food you love without guilt or shame, tune out the fads and trends, and find peace with food. Are you ready? Let's get started!

Your first session with Cortney

During our first session together, we will spend time talking about your eating habits, thoughts and feelings about food, body image concerns, and any medical complications related to your eating disorder. Expect lots of question, it's hard to give advice and recommendations until I know you. Sometimes that may take 1-2 sessions for us to get to the bottom of what's going on. I understand that it can be hard to open up to someone right away and I do my very best to make our appointments collaborative and conversational (Remember the humor? That's important too). It is important to understand that you will not leave your first session with a full treatment plan, as it will take some time for us figure out exactly what each person needs. However, you will leave our first appointment with a clear idea of where we're headed together and a few goals to get started on!
