About Courtney
Hello there! My name is Courtney and I have been a Registered Dietitian for 11 years. For the last 7 years, I have worked as a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. I have experience working with diabetes in most settings including pregnancy, adults, and geriatrics.
Approach to care
My approach to care is patient-centered and patient-driven. My goal is for the patients I see to truly direct the care they receive for me to ensure they feel heard and seen. My philosophy is to ensure patients feel like I am not taking anything away from them (ex: “You can’t eat this or that”…) but to give them tools as it relates to nutrition and to provide education in an effective manner.
Your first session with Courtney
You will do most of the talking in this session in order for me to better assist you in meeting your nutrition goals. I hope that each patient I see walks away from our session feeling empowered and hopeful. I always like to get to know a little bit about my patients to help me to see the bigger picture of what in their life my be impacting their life and how this relates to their nutrition
