About Courtney
I’m a Registered Dietitian and performance nutrition specialist with experience spanning both clinical care and elite athletics. I have experience as a clinical dietitian at RUSH University Medical Center, where I provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to support patients with complex health needs. My background in sports nutrition includes working with athletes at UW-Milwaukee, Northwestern University, and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Through these roles, I’ve helped collegiate and professional athletes optimize their performance, recovery, and body composition with practical, science-based fueling strategies. By combining my clinical expertise with my sports nutrition experience, I take a comprehensive approach to helping individuals perform, recover, and feel their best in competition, training, or everyday life.
Approach to care
I take a caring, empathetic, and holistic approach to nutrition, recognizing that fueling the body goes beyond what’s on the plate. Every athlete has their own training demands, lifestyle, and goals, and I work to create strategies that fit their real life rather than forcing them into a rigid plan. I focus on what we can add to support performance, recovery, and overall well-being rather than what needs to be cut out. I use a food-first approach, prioritizing whole, nutrient-dense foods while recognizing that high-quality supplements can sometimes play a helpful role in optimizing performance. Education is at the center of my work. My goal is for every athlete to build the knowledge, skills, and confidence to fuel themselves effectively in and out of season.
Your first session with Courtney
In our first session, you can expect a comprehensive deep dive into all aspects of your performance and lifestyle. We’ll review your current eating habits, training schedule, recovery routine, and relationship with food to understand the full picture of what fuels you physically and mentally. My goal is to learn how you train, live, and recover so we can create a fueling strategy that supports your performance goals and fits naturally into your everyday life.
