About Courtney

I help clients to... ✅️Make informed lifestyle choices but avoid over-thinking it. ✅️Feel less pressure to be perfect when it comes to meals and movement. ✅️Fuel your body for the activity you are doing - whether that is training for a sport, succeeding in college, or managing a household and a career. ✅️Sort through the confusion of "shoulds" when it comes to your health related choices. I work with clients who are healing from disordered eating patterns, managing heart health, fueling for sports and performance, or simply wanting to feel better in their everyday lives. If you are seeking balance and confidence with food, without guilt or restriction, we could be a great fit! I am experienced in working with athletes and active people - competitive, recreational, or even occupational - to plan nutrition to match their activity. *Please note that if you are seeking nutrition for ultra-distance events like Ironman or ultramarathon races, I am likely not the perfect match for you.*

Approach to care

I will approach your session with curiosity and I encourage you to do the same. Sometimes answers don't come immediately and we don't find the exact right method for you on the first try. It's like trying on clothing or new pair of shoes - the first thing you try on might not be right for you. So let's be curious and "try on" some ideas. My clients are encouraged to consider what "health" means to them and how that fits into all of the other priorities in life. Together we can work toward a strategy that aligns with your own priorities and health experience.

Your first session with Courtney

In our first session, I will ask you lots of questions to learn where you've come from and where you're trying to go. But the real work is in the follow-up. Each time we meet we will review what has gone well, what has not gone well, and I will also ask if you have anything specific you want to work on during that appointment. Throughout a session, I may make observations, recommendations, and suggestions but I don't expect you to do all of them! You will be in charge of deciding what next step you want to take - the small action step goal goes a really long way because we can realistically make these changes. *Keep in mind, I have availability Monday, Thursday, and Friday at this time.*
