About Courtney

I have been a dietitian since 2014. In that time, I have worked many different roles and with many different specialties: diabetes, cardiac rehab, general outpatient nutrition, psychiatric disorders, high-risk pregnancy, bariatric surgery, pediatrics, gastrointestinal, critical care and nutrition support. For the last 6 years I have worked in pediatric GI providing nutrition therapy to children and family members with GI conditions, weight loss or obesity. Outside of work, I enjoy time with my family traveling, going to the beach, hiking in the mountains, and baking with my kids. My husband and I have been married for 15 years and have 3 beautiful and active kids (ages 10, 8, and 3).

Approach to care

I approach nutrition counseling with a focus on the whole body rather than just one disease state. I believe food is medicine and can heal. I also believe knowledge is power and strive to help my patients and their family understand their disease or diagnosis and how food can help control/minimize symptoms.

Your first session with Courtney

A comprehensive nutrition assessment will be completed to fully understanding lifestyle habits and medical/nutrition history. We will discuss your medical history, prior nutrition education/knowledge, your expectation for the appointment, and review of evidence-based nutrition therapy. A personalized treatment plan will be created taking into account your medical history, lifestyle, and goals. A follow up appointment can/will be scheduled with the individual for accountability and additional resources.
