About Courtney
Hi! I'm Courtney, a registered dietitian with over 10 years' experience in supporting clients in building health-promoting, sustainable, and peaceful eating habits. Working with people one-on-one to support long term behavior change has always been my passion. I love helping people develop a deeper understanding of how nutrition impacts health, vitality, and mental well being.
Approach to care
Perhaps you're feeling overwhelmed or out of control around food, or stuck in âanalysis paralysisâ about how to approach food to manage a health condition like diabetes or high blood pressure. Perhaps youâve dieted on and off for years and youâre over it - you want to figure out how to nourish your body without counting and measuring your food and living by the number on the scale. You want anxieties about your body and food to take up less space in your brain so you can focus on all the other things that matter to you. I provide individualized, weight-inclusive nutrition counseling, aligned with the principles of intuitive eating. I combine science-based nutrition education with a warm, judgement-free counseling style to help you get to the root of your challenges with food, connect with your body, and guide you in making lasting and health-promoting changes to your relationship with food and your body.
Your first session with Courtney
I'll seek first to understand why you're here and what you hope to accomplish while working with me. With your permission, I'll fill in any gaps in your knowledge about nutrition or health conditions that you have, and then we'll collaborate together on a plan for moving forward that will take your needs and preferences into consideration. My clients often tell me that by the end of their first session with me, they feel understood, validated, and confident in their ability to take the next best step for their health.
