About Cristin

Hi! I'm Cristin and I have been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Diabetes Care and Education Specialist for over 20 years. I have worked with many people who want to better manage health concerns by optimizing their nutrition. My experience ranges from guidance on reaching a healthy weight, to teaching use of a new insulin pump, to discussing how diet can help avoid or delay kidney dialysis. I understand that each person brings their own unique story with different challenges and goals.

Approach to care

I believe connecting people to trusted information and teaching skills is important, but I also feel taking the time to understand where each person is coming from, what their barriers may be, and what they value as "quality of life", is the most important part of being a good dietitian and coach.

Your first session with Cristin

I will take the time to listen to your story. Your health concerns, lifestyle considerations, past successes or barriers, and unique nutrition considerations are all an important part of your story. Most importantly, we will define what your expectations are and create a plan for how I can best support you to reach your goals.

Education

I graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Dietetics. Boiler Up!! I then completed my internship at IU Medical Center. Shortly after this, I specialized in the area of diabetes and became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.

Hobbies

I love gardening, cooking, traveling, and spending time with my family and pets.
