Patient reviews

  • β€œShe's always very sweet and likes to catch up and get to know her clients before diving into the deep, so it feels very easy and friendly. She makes sure we take our time going through things so it sticks and we have all questions answered and understood. Normal doctor or therapy appointments can be very mentally draining, especially with a bunch of new knowledge coming in to stress us out, but not once have I felt overwhelmed about meeting up. 10/10 lady!β€œ

  • β€œClear direction and advice towards a balanced diet to keep my blood sugar under control amidst my intermittent fasting way of life and the insomnia that has created problems since my recent pituitary adenoma surgery on 4/26/23.β€œ

About Crystal

I have been a registered dietitian since 2017 and have worked with a wide array of patients to help them manage multiple chronic conditions including diabetes, heart disease, stroke, high cholesterol, hypertension, PCOS, and chronic kidney disease. I also have experience working in the critical care setting with patients that require nutrition support and earned my Certified Nutrition Support Clinician certification in October 2022. I did not start out my career in nutrition, but in marriage and family therapy. This unique start has allowed me to view people with a more holistic lens and really be able to connect with those I work with. My goal is to always make you feel safe, encouraged, supported, and heard!

Approach to care

I value you as a person (not just a patient!) and where you are at in your journey. I believe that nutrition is best viewed through a holistic lens, where every aspect of your life influences your food choices. Changing your habits isn't just about food; it’s about shifting your mindset to create lasting, meaningful change. We'll work together to fine-tune each piece of your health puzzle, crafting personalized habits that align with your lifestyle and set you up for long-term success. Since I have a background in marriage and family therapy, I am trained to look at patterns and relationships and am able to do this through a nutrition-focused lens. I approach care through an intuitive eating and health at every size/weight neutral approach. I want to help you break free from dieting and the obsession with the scale. I want food to become a source of nourishment, creativity, and joy, so you can feel empowered in your choices and confident in your body.

Your first session with Crystal

In the first session, I spend a lot of time getting to know you! We will talk not only about your medical history but also your lifestyle history taking into account all the different aspects of life that can affect your health. We will discuss what your overall goals and expectations are as well as what to expect from me as your dietitian. I will also collaborate with you to come up with small short-term goals to work on in the first session to get the process rolling towards a healthier you.
