About Cynthia
Hi! I’m Cynthia Alba, MS, RDN—a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and educator based in Southern California. I help clients improve gut health, manage reflux and IBS, support blood sugar and weight management, and build sustainable habits that fit real life. I also teach wellness and fitness courses for local colleges and senior centers, so you’ll get practical tools you can use right away, no perfection required. Sessions available virtually; Spanish/English.
Approach to care
Personalized & evidence-based: We’ll use current research, your labs (if available), and your preferences to shape a plan that actually works for you. Compassion-first: I support behavior change without guilt or shame—helping you improve health markers, energy, and confidence while honoring your relationship with food. Digestive & metabolic focus: Experience with GERD/IBS, low-FODMAP guidance, prediabetes, and cholesterol/BP goals—plus sports/performance and postpartum support. Simple, doable habits: Clear meal frameworks, flexible snack ideas, and realistic routines that fit busy schedules.
Your first session with Cynthia
60 minutes focused on you: We’ll review your goals, health history, medications/supplements, symptoms, lifestyle, and a brief food recall. Clarity on next steps: You’ll leave with 2–4 tailored action items (e.g., meal structure, trigger-food strategy, grocery list, supplement timing). Follow-up plan: We’ll set a cadence that matches your goals (often every 2–4 weeks) and use simple tracking so you can see progress in energy, digestion, and metrics. Education
