About Cynthia
Hello! I am a registered dietitian who is passionate about helping others achieve optimal health through nutrition and lifestyle modifications. My interest in nutrition started during my early years while working on my parents’ organic farm. It was there that I comprehended the pivotal connection between food and well-being. I am eager to facilitate a healthy relationship with food for both physical and mental well-being. I have successfully managed diet-related conditions affecting both pediatric and adult patients, such as disordered eating, diabetes, pre diabetes, obesity, underweight/malnourishment, micronutrient deficiencies, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, cardiovascular health, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), GERD, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), thyroid disorders, and food insecurity. Additionally, I am bilingual and am delighted to provide support to both English and Spanish-speaking patients. I’m confident in my skills and I’m excited to work with you to improve your health!
Approach to care
My approach to patient care is holistic and patient-centered. I recognize that each individual’s journey is unique, and I strive to meet patients where they are, establish trust, and identify meaningful solutions. I adopt a holistic approach, considering all relevant factors when determining individualized goals. My objective is to assist patients in developing long term and sustainable paths to healing, rather than short term fixes.
Your first session with Cynthia
In our first session, I will focus on getting to know you and your specific goals. I will take the time to understand your unique health journey, and gather information about your medical and nutrition history, lifestyle, sleep, and stress management. I will address any questions, and assure that we are on the same page with your care. Together, we will work on setting realistic and sustainable goals to improve your health and nutrition.
