About Cynthia

Hi, I'm Cynthia. I have 10 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Texas Pan American. I've practiced in different settings such as dialysis centers, private practice, community nutrition with the Women, Infants and Children's program (WIC). In my downtime, I enjoy hiking, cooking, planning, walking at nature parks, DIY home projects, painting and drawing. I'm passionate about nourishing our body and mind, through clear, preventative nutrition counseling that respects culture and empowers lasting healthy habits.

Approach to care

I believe care is a partnership built on trust, curiosity, and real-world steps. My approach is evidence-based and science-focused, guiding you with current research while staying compassionate and nonjudgmental. Together we'll set practical goals and translate nutrition science into everyday habits. I practice Health At Every Size, focusing on behaviors and well being rather than numbers on a scale. I aim to honor mental, emotional, and physical health. I prioritize education so you can confidently care for yourself long after our sessions.

Your first session with Cynthia

Our first session is all about you. We'll talk in a warm, nonjudgmental way as we review your medical history, discuss short-term goals, and look at lab work and biometrics that help shape your plan. We work together, at a pace that feels safe, and you do not need to have every detail figured out yet. You'll leave with a clearer sense of where we are headed and one to two realistic goals to start, tailored to your life.
