Hi Iβm Cindy and Iβd love to work with you. I have over fifteen years of experience providing medical nutrition therapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Approach to care
My approach to care is very patient-centered and evidence based. My intention is to provide a safe, non-judgemental space where you feel comfortable. I will meet you where you are at and we will work together to develop an individualized plan which will allow you to make realistic, sustainable changes over time. Nutrition is an ever changing field so I keep up to date on emerging nutrition research and guidelines. I also utilize data such as anthropometric measurements, lab tests, and nutrition analysis to objectively track your progress - what gets measured gets managed.
Your first session with Cindy
Muhammad Ali said, βI never won a fight in the ring; I always won in preparation." Like this quote implies, one of the primary goals of our first session is to establish a plan. To do this, I will take time to get to know you and ensure you feel comfortable, heard, and understood. We will discuss your health history, dietary habits, and lifestyle so that together we can develop a plan tailored just for you. By the end of the first session you will have 1-3 personalized recommendations to implement immediately and to work on for the following week. I utilize motivational interviewing techniques which make our discussion feel like a warm, friendly, no pressure conversation.
