About Da
Hi! My name is Diane. I decided to study dietetics during a nutrition biochemistry course at UCSD. I became fascinated with how nutrients can impact human bodies- how we can hurt our bodies, but also how we can heal and improve ourselves with what we consume. I have been a Registered Dietitian with 6 years of experience in the hospital setting, where I gained hands-on experience in a wide range of conditions, including liver, kidney, heart and gastrointestinal diseases, diabetes, and cancer, and a strong background in tube feeding, parenteral nutrition, bariatric surgery and weight management.
Approach to care
My approach to care is patient-centered: we'll be focusing on your unique needs, goals, and lifestyle! I aim to create a non-judgmental, supportive environment where you feel safe and empowered to build habits that are not only healthy, but also realistic and sustainable. My goal is to equip my patients with evidence-based knowledge and tools, along with the confidence and support you need to make informed decisions about your nutrition and health.
Your first session with Da
During our first session, we’ll take time to get to know you—your personal and medical history, lifestyle, goals, and any challenges you’ve faced. We’ll also discuss your expectations and what you hope to achieve. Collaboratively, we’ll begin building a personalized nutrition plan that fits your life, instead of forcing your life to fit the goal.
