Patient reviews
“Dana is professional and thorough and seemed to get to the root of the issue(s) during our first appointment. She listened and provided excellent insight into where I may need to change. I’m looking forward to benefitting from Dana’s expertise. I’m also looking forward to being accountable to her as I work to lose weight, improve my labs, and establish a healthier routine of self-care to maintain my progress. “

About Dana
I have over 15 years of experience helping individuals manage chronic conditions such as kidney disease, diabetes, and heart disease. My background spans outpatient dialysis and hospital nutrition care, where I supported patients in weight management, cardiac rehabilitation, bariatrics, kidney transplant, and oncology. Beyond clinical nutrition, I have a deep passion for pre/perinatal, postpartum, and fertility health, inspired by my own journey as a mother of three children. My initial inspiration to become a dietitian stemmed from a love for playing sports and the realization that nutrition played a crucial role in athletic performance outcomes. I continue to live an active lifestyle and guide clients to incorporate joyful movement as a vital ingredient in their health journey. I hold an MBA from Benedictine University and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Penn State University. My hobbies include cooking, strength training, running, and spending time with family.
Approach to care
In my private practice, I offer personalized nutrition counseling rooted in compassion, science, and real-life practicality. I take a balanced, all-foods-fit approach and use motivational interviewing to guide clients toward sustainable lifestyle changes.
Your first session with Dana
During your first appointment with me, we will extensively review your medical and nutrition history and health goals. A great portion of the appointment I will gather information about your lifestyle routines, including work/school schedules, shopping habits, cooking skill, meal preparation routine, and exercise habits. With this information, we will work together to determine small achievable goals that will help you reach your long term health goal. We will schedule weekly follow up sessions until we achieve consistent and sustained change toward your goals. From there we will schedule frequent follow ups to ensure long term accountability of your goals.
