About Dana
Hi, I'm Dana Nippes (phonetically pronounced Nipez)! Over the years, as a registered dietitian, I have gathered unique experience in nutrition guidance through clinical, outpatient, and school nutrition settings. I look forward to meeting you and helping to guide you in your personal health journey!
Approach to care
By encouraging intuitive eating, I will help you begin to build a framework for self-care through learning to trust your body. I will focus on ways to increase health and nutrition through better (not perfect) food choices. I will meet you where you are in your current health journey, and work to find ways to make healthy changes stick. Accountability and exercise will be important additions to the journey toward better health. We will explore these approaches together and find ways to form positive relationships with them.
Your first session with Dana
During your first 55-minute session, I will focus on connecting with you. Without judgement, I will explore where you are in your health journey, so that I can meet you there, and individualize your care. This will include me asking questions about your current routines, meals, and/or personal nutrition challenges. Based on our discussion, we will work together to set two to three achievable goals for the upcoming week. Lastly, we will schedule a follow-up session. In your 55-minute follow-up sessions, we will continue to build upon the initial appointment, to continue working toward successful health changes.
