About Danielle
Hi! Iām Danielle. If youāve ever walked out of a doctorās office feeling like you just received a list of "donāts" and a giant question mark, Iām here to help you fill in the blanks. Iām a Chicago-based dietitian who believes that nutrition shouldn't feel like a second full-time job. Iāve spent much of my career in the "deep end" of clinical nutrition, specifically Renal (Kidney) care, where the rules are strict and the labs are confusing. My specialty is taking those complex, scary-sounding medical requirements and turning them into a grocery list that actually makes sense (and tastes good!). I bring that same expert-level attention to detail to every client I work with. Whether you are looking to manage Diabetes, lose weight sustainably, or fuel your performance at the gym, I use my clinical background to handle the "hard science" so you can focus on the results.
Approach to care
Iām not a "food cop," and Iām definitely not going to tell you to never eat a taco again. My counseling style is warm, relatable, and deeply collaborative. I believe in "Real-Life Nutrition" - if a plan doesnāt work for your Saturday night plans or your cultural favorites, itās not a good plan! I use a technique called Motivational Interviewing, which is just a fancy way of saying I listen more than I talk. Weāll work together to find the "middle ground" between what your body needs and what your life allows. Iām here to be your partner and strategist, helping you cut through the societal nutrition noise and conflicting advice so we can stick to what actually works for your unique body and goals.
Your first session with Danielle
Working with me is a judgment-free zone. In our first session, weāll: 1) Discover your "Why": Weāll start with the big picture: your history, your favorite foods, and the deeper motivators driving you toward your goals. Weāll define what a "win" looks like for you so we can build a plan that actually sticks. 2) Translate your labs: If you have bloodwork or a new diagnosis, Iāll explain it in plain English so you feel like the CEO of your own health. 3) Find your "1% wins": We wonāt overhaul your life overnight. Youāll leave with 1 or 2 tiny, manageable changes, like a smarter snack swap or a simple way to balance your dinner plate, to build momentum for our future weekly sessions. My goal is for you to walk away from our first meeting feeling capable, heard, and genuinely excited about your next meal.
