About Danielle

I am a dietitian and diabetes educator with over 20 years of experience. I bring clinical knowledge and a big serving of encouragement to help you get to your goals. I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to care for patients in critical care, cancer care, bariatric surgery, and weight management. I was fortunate to manage an outpatient nutrition education center which absolutely changed my clinical practice. It is very rewarding to work with a patient who is facing a new diagnosis or condition and see them succeed in improving their health. If I have to pick a favorite, I am truly passionate about diabetes care which led me to achieve a certification in diabetes care and education (CDCES). This disease affects so many of us and I believe that diabetes can be reversed or managed through the power of diet.

Approach to care

I believe we need to base our plan around you. We start where you are now and build toward your goal. There is no "one-size-fits-all" approach. You are unique, your situation is unique. My job is to be your guide and cheerleader! Food is necessary, everywhere, and ridiculously tempting. I try to help you reduce the "food noise" and focus on what is most important - you! I expect you to be honest, realistic, and most importantly, accountable. I will bring the encouragement because change is not easy!

Your first session with Danielle

I will ask a lot of questions to be sure I completely understand where you are in your health journey. Together we will review your current situation, discuss goals, and formulate an individualized plan. The development of a plan will be a shared effort but will include specific actions and achievable goals. I want you to succeed and I want you to feel the joy of reaching your individual milestones.
