About Danielle

Danielle is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Health Education Specialist with a wealth of experience working as a nutrition professional in healthcare, food bank, nutrition policy, and public health settings. She loves helping others develop a healthy and positive relationship with food that aligns with their lifestyle, budget, taste preferences, and culture. Currently based in Houston, Danielle finds inspiration in the city’s diversity, and the ever-changing food, wine, and music scenes which fuel her ongoing mission to redefine health and wellness paradigms.

Approach to care

Danielle’s work as a dietitian is rooted in empathy and empowerment. She’s on a mission to help you “see nutrition differently.” Danielle views health holistically and seeks ways to ADD nutrition without sacrificing flavor. She believes in providing culturally humble care and sees real value in your lived experience as a critical part of the care plan. With an inquisitive and open mindset, Danielle partners with you to clearly define your health goals, meets you where you are and emphasizes small, sustainable changes. As she guides you on your journey, she recognizes you as the ultimate decision-maker—after all, she may be a nutrition expert, but you're the expert on your own body.

Your first session with Danielle

In the first session, Danielle aims to create a comfortable space where you can freely share your experiences and motivations for seeking nutrition counseling. (Imagine you are catching up over coffee.) The conversation will delve into a standard nutrition intake assessment, covering topics such as your medical history, current symptoms, and eating habits. Understanding your unique relationship with food and your body is the key here. Once she’s gathered all the necessary details, you'll work together to craft a personalized plan for our journey ahead. Remember, this is a collaborative effort, so feel free to express yourself, ask questions freely and even share a joke or two along the way!
