About Darby
Darby brings a decade of experience as a registered dietitian, supported by a Master of Science in Nutrition from the University of Central Arkansas. I’ve worked in private practice and in research/academia, learning from clients and studies alike. My approach is practical, evidence-based, and focused on real life. Outside of work, I love to needlepoint and play Mahjong, enjoy outdoor activity, cheer on the Arkansas Razorbacks (woo pig!), and treasure time with my husband, our two girls, and our 12-year-old lab and duck dog. I’m grateful to work with you toward a healthier relationship with food!
Approach to care
My care philosophy centers on empathy, science, and partnership. I believe in an evidence-based approach that is compassionate and judgment-free, meeting you where you are and building a plan you can actually live with. We focus on sustainable change through clear, actionable steps and a weight-neutral, holistic view of health. Education fuels our work, so you’ll leave sessions with understanding and confidence. Together we tailor strategies to your values, lifestyle, and goals, aiming for lasting well-being rather than quick fixes.
Your first session with Darby
Our first appointment is all about you. We'll review your medical history and dive into your relationship with food in a non-judgmental way. Together we'll create a practical meal plan and establish short-term goals, while also reviewing any recent labs or biometrics that matter for your health. You don't need to have it all figured out yet; this is a collaborative conversation that grounds us in your priorities and sets a clear path for steady progress.
