About Darla
Dietitian/Nutritionist with 40 years of experience in Clinical Dietetics, Diabetes, kidney and liver diseases as well as many other conditions. I've worked in Hospitals and nursing homes as well as alcohol treatment centers and eating disorder centers. I'm experienced with evaluating enteral feeding issues and obesity treatment. I consider myself an agriculture advocate as I have experience in food production as well. My family include physical therapist, a food scientist and farmers, so we have interesting food discussions at our table!! Those members of my family are great professional resources for me as well.
Approach to care
I am your partner and coach in the area of diet and nutrition. I'm here to educate and help guide you in order to reach your goals. I'm experienced in using a non-diet approach or more structured meal plans. Everything we do will be with YOUR goals in mind.
Your first session with Darla
I'll be asking questions about you, your health and likely lifestyle issues such as sleep quality, exercise and your relationship with food in order to meet your needs. I want to know about your needs and goals, first and foremost. Then we will discuss steps you can take, starting with your first session!
