About Dayana

Hi, I'm Dayana. I’m a Registered Dietitian with an MPH, and I’ve spent 8 years helping people build healthier relationships with food. I earned my degree at California State University Long Beach and have worked in clinical hospital and community health settings, where I translate science into practical routines. When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll find me walking, cooking, practicing yoga or dancing, and yes, squeezing in a little video game time. I offer a trauma-informed approach and I respect each patient’s values and stories as we work toward lasting health together.

My care philosophy is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I ground our work in current science but translate it into doable, sustainable steps that fit your life. I practice with Health At Every Size in mind, focusing on behaviors and well being rather than a number on the scale. I meet you with warmth and curiosity, embracing a holistic view that includes sleep, stress, culture, and food memories. You won’t be judged here; I’ll help you understand the why behind choices and provide clear, actionable steps you can try this week as we build lasting habits.

Your first session with Dayana

Our first appointment is all about you. We'll review your medical history, lab work and biometrics, and we’ll dive into your relationship with food while gauging a broad overview of your health goals and what healthy means to you. You don’t need to have everything figured out yet; this is a collaborative, low pressure conversation designed to ease anxiety and respect your pace. Together we’ll set 1-2 realistic goals and outline practical steps to get started, with ongoing support that fits your life and values.
