About Debbie
Over my career, I've had the privilege of working in many different settingsāfrom hospitals and cardiac rehab to bariatric surgery programs and even international employee well-being. I genuinely love to teach and share helpful resources. Beyond my professional training, I bring deep personal understanding. I've been in your shoes, navigating my own journey with Celiac Disease, Hypothyroidism, IBS, and Microscopic Colitis. This unique blend of professional expertise and lived experience informs every interaction. Because I work part-time with Nourish, I keep a small caseload. This allows me to give my clients the focused, quality attention they deserve.
Approach to care
My approach is built on a true partnership. I bring the expertise of a Registered Dietitian and National Board Certified Health Coach; you bring the expertise of being youāyour history, preferences, and body wisdom. Together, we'll design a realistic plan, focusing on small, sustainable changes that lead to big improvements in your overall health. Health is holistic. Weāll always look at how your food, sleep, movement, and stress management all connect to impact your well-being. I practice a āFork Firstā philosophy. Even with necessary dietary restrictions, my goal is always to help you eat the most varied and enjoyable diet possible.
Your first session with Debbie
The first session is where we lay the foundation. We'll quickly cover logistics, and then dive deep into truly understanding your health goals and challenges. We'll anchor our conversation by creating a clear, health vision of where you want to be. This vision helps us begin to map out your first action steps. Eating gives us multiple opportunities to learn and adjust every day. In our follow-up sessions, we will review what you are discovering about your food choices and habits, celebrating successes and adjusting our plan so you can achieve your best, sustainable health outcome.
