Hi, I'm Debbie. I'm a Registered Dietitian with 43 years of experience, based in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. I earned my BS in Food, Nutrition and Institutional Management and have built my career across clinical and hospital settings, long term care and rehabilitation, and health care sales. I also mentor new RDs and help lead CDMS. When I'm not working, you’ll find me in the kitchen cooking, reading, or enjoying time with my family and friends. I love helping people feel welcome and capable as they nourish their lives.

Approach to care

As a clinician who believes care is a partnership, my approach combines evidence-based practice with warmth and practical steps. I meet you where you are and work with you to implement lasting changes, not one-size-fits-all diets. I walk with a Health At Every Size lens, focusing on healthy behaviors and a neutral relationship with food. My style is holistic, addressing sleep, stress, and emotional well being alongside nutrition, and I emphasize education so you can make informed choices long after our sessions end.

Your first session with Debbie

Our first appointment is a conversation focused on you. We'll review your medical history, discuss any lab work or biometrics, and establish short-term goals that feel doable. We'll dive into your relationship with food and what has helped or hindered you in the past, always in a nonjudgmental, collaborative space. No need to have it all figured out before you come. We'll outline 1-2 realistic steps to start, and we'll decide together how we’ll track progress and stay connected until our next meeting.
