About Deborah
With more than 30 years experience as a Registered Dietitian and Diabetes Specialist— and 20 years as a Registered Nurse— I bring a deep and practical understanding of health to every session. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with individuals from all walks of life, helping them successfully reverse pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease through sustainable, empowering lifestyle changes. My passion for nutrition is rooted in a lifelong belief in the bodies ability to heal. Having lived healthfully with Crohn’s disease and Celiac disease for over 40 years, I understand firsthand, the power of personalized nutrition, resilience, and compassionate care. It’s a honor to support others on their journey to lasting wellness. I am also a proud hockey mom—my son plays professionally in the NHL—and I bring the same dedication, heart, and encouragement to my clients that I bring to cheering him on.
Approach to care
My approach is strengths based and practical. I begin by focusing on what you’re already doing well and build from there, using strategies such as meal preparation, mindful eating and thoughtful timing of meals and snacks. Whether you’re taking the first steps in your wellness journey, or looking to elevate the progress, you’ve already made, I’m here to guide you with empathy, expertise, and steady support.
Your first session with Deborah
I love getting to know my patients. In our first session, I’ll take the time to understand your story- your health and medical history, lifestyle, sleep patterns, movement habits, hobbies, work, and family. These details, help us create a personalized plan that aligns with your goals, and fits seamlessly into your life. Together, we’ll set meaningful short and long-term goals. In each follow up session, will review your progress, celebrate successes, navigate challenges, and refine your plan to keep you moving forward. My mission is to empower you to become your healthiest, most confident self- one attainable step at a time.
