About Deborah
Hi, I'm Deborah. I've been a Registered Dietitian since 2014, blending my BA in Anthropology and Global Development Studies from Grinnell College with a BS in Nutrition from the University of Minnesota to help you find real, lasting balance when it comes to your health and nutrition. My work in nutrition includes working with WIC and in private practice focusing on sports nutrition, vegan and vegetarian diets, disordered eating, eating disorder recovery, intuitive eating approaches, and GI health. I’ve also had the privilege of coaching youth cross country, triathlon, and soccer. I’m dedicated to evidence-based nutrition counseling delivered with warmth and empathy. When I’m not working, you’ll find me running, cycling, cooking, reading, hiking, or enjoying time with my dogs and family in Colorado.
Approach to care
I work from an evidence-based, science-focused foundation, translating research into practical steps you can actually use. I bring empathy and warmth to every interaction, meeting you where you are and avoiding judgment. Grounded in Health At Every Size (HAES), I focus on sustainable habits and a holistic view of health that includes movement, sleep, stress, and nourishment. Education guides our decisions, empowering you to own your health long term.
Your first session with Deborah
Our first appointment is a warm, collaborative conversation. We'll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics, dive into your relationship with food, movement, and stress, and establish short-term goals to start. You don't need to have it all figured out before you arrive; just show up as you are. Together we'll map a practical plan and set you up with a clear next step for your first week.
