About Deborah

Hi, I’m Deborah, a registered dietitian with over 15 years of experience. One of my primary areas of practice is weight management, with specialized training to support patients before and after metabolic and bariatric surgery—including Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy. I also help patients manage diabetes, PCOS, heart disease, IBS, GERD, and many other conditions. My goal is to help you become the healthiest version of you—physically, emotionally, and nutritionally. I earned my Doctor of Clinical Nutrition from Rutgers University and stay up to date with the latest research and tools to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care. I love to travel and explore global cuisines—something that helps me offer culturally respectful care that honors your traditions and preferences. Wherever you’re starting from, I’m here to support you—without judgment, without pressure, and always with your goals at the center.

Approach to care

As a working mom with young children, I understand how busy and overwhelming life can be. Making health a priority isn’t always easy, and that’s okay. Nutrition should fit into your life, not disrupt it. My approach is compassionate, flexible, and focused on long-term success. I’m here to meet you where you are. Together, we’ll explore your lifestyle, food preferences, medical needs, and goals. We’ll identify any barriers—like time, stress, resources, or family routines—and find practical, realistic ways to overcome them. My goal is to help you build sustainable habits through small, manageable changes that add up over time. Whether managing a health condition or wanting to feel better day to day, I’m here to support, guide, and empower you—not judge or overwhelm you. Nutrition is a marathon, not a sprint. Progress isn’t always linear, but I’ll be by your side to celebrate wins, troubleshoot challenges, and keep moving forward—at your pace, on your terms.

Your first session with Deborah

When we first meet, my main focus is getting to know your story. I want to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel truly heard and understood without any judgment. We’ll take the time to talk about your medical history, food preferences, eating habits, and lifestyle. I’m also interested in learning about any challenges or barriers you might be facing—whether they’re related to time, stress, family, or anything else. Most importantly, I want to understand what matters most to you as we work together. From there, we’ll develop a personalized and realistic plan designed to fit seamlessly into your daily life, not the other way around. My goal is to help you make changes that feel manageable, sustainable, and tailored specifically to your needs and goals.
