About Deborah
Hi, Iâm Deborah, a registered dietitian with over 15 years of experience. One of my primary areas of practice is weight management, with specialized training to support patients before and after metabolic and bariatric surgeryâincluding Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy. I also help patients manage diabetes, PCOS, heart disease, IBS, GERD, and many other conditions. My goal is to help you become the healthiest version of youâphysically, emotionally, and nutritionally. I earned my Doctor of Clinical Nutrition from Rutgers University and stay up to date with the latest research and tools to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care. I love to travel and explore global cuisinesâsomething that helps me offer culturally respectful care that honors your traditions and preferences. Wherever youâre starting from, Iâm here to support youâwithout judgment, without pressure, and always with your goals at the center.
Approach to care
As a working mom with young children, I understand how busy and overwhelming life can be. Making health a priority isnât always easy, and thatâs okay. Nutrition should fit into your life, not disrupt it. My approach is compassionate, flexible, and focused on long-term success. Iâm here to meet you where you are. Together, weâll explore your lifestyle, food preferences, medical needs, and goals. Weâll identify any barriersâlike time, stress, resources, or family routinesâand find practical, realistic ways to overcome them. My goal is to help you build sustainable habits through small, manageable changes that add up over time. Whether managing a health condition or wanting to feel better day to day, Iâm here to support, guide, and empower youânot judge or overwhelm you. Nutrition is a marathon, not a sprint. Progress isnât always linear, but Iâll be by your side to celebrate wins, troubleshoot challenges, and keep moving forwardâat your pace, on your terms.
Your first session with Deborah
When we first meet, my main focus is getting to know your story. I want to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel truly heard and understood without any judgment. Weâll take the time to talk about your medical history, food preferences, eating habits, and lifestyle. Iâm also interested in learning about any challenges or barriers you might be facingâwhether theyâre related to time, stress, family, or anything else. Most importantly, I want to understand what matters most to you as we work together. From there, weâll develop a personalized and realistic plan designed to fit seamlessly into your daily life, not the other way around. My goal is to help you make changes that feel manageable, sustainable, and tailored specifically to your needs and goals.
