About Deborah

Deborah has been a Registered Dietitian for over 18 years. She was a hospital based outpatient dietitian and then was a nutritionist for the Women Infants and Children (WIC) clinic. While raising her 5 children, she has provided nutrition counseling for women in her private practice. Five years ago she became a certified breastfeeding specialist, and two years ago a certified functional health coach. Deborah believes we all can grow more balanced and healthy with science-based tools, an open heart and curiosity. She believes our mind, body, emotions and social connections help move us from surviving to thriving. At Nourish, Deborah is so grateful to be able to help others love themselves, renew their joy of eating and support their holistic health.

Approach to care

Deborah is passionate about helping her clients with their own mindset shifts. In her work she gently guides others as they cultivate a more peaceful, loving relationship with themselves and others. She specializes in a non-diet approach and an Intuitive and Mindful Eating, from a Health At Every SizeĀ® (HAES) perspective. Your size doesn't determine your health, and your mind, body, spirit and emotions are all connected. She uses a positive psychology, personalized, strengths-based, holistic approach to work with her clients. Deborah aims to help you avoid the cycle of low self-esteem and unhealthful emotional eating. She will help you to improve your relationship with yourself including your mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health and she will help you empower yourself to make self-led changes using your priorities and intuition.

Your first session with Deborah

During your initial meeting you will answer questions that inform Deborah about your needs. You may want to share about your relationship with food, your body image, food sensitivities, food preferences, physical activity level and your overall stress. Together, you will fine-tune what you hope to get out of your nutrition journey. By the end of the first session, you will co-create a personalized plan with actionable steps towards your goals so that you can improve and see yourself holistically in much better health.
