About Deborah

My name is Deborah Torres. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition, graduating Cum Laude, from Florida International University. I have nearly 30 years of experience practicing as a Registered Dietitian, helping individuals develop healthier nutrition habits and build a better relationship with food. I am fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows me to serve a diverse population. Throughout my career, I have worked in hospitals, outpatient clinics, community health settings, and renal care, giving me a broad perspective on nutrition across different healthcare environments. In addition to my clinical work, I have participated in television, radio, and written media interviews, sharing evidence-based nutrition information with the public. I am a caring and respectful professional, and I am committed to partnering with you to create meaningful, lasting changes that support your long-term health and well-being.

Approach to care

As a practitioner, I am guided by evidence-based practice, empathy, and a collaborative approach. My goal is to translate nutrition science into clear, practical guidance, ensuring that you leave each session with knowledge and strategies you can confidently apply in your daily life.

Your first session with Deborah

Our first appointment is an opportunity to focus on you. During this session, we will review your medical history, discuss any relevant laboratory results and biometric data, and begin identifying meaningful short-term goals. There is no need to have everything figured out before we meet. Together, we will explore what strategies have worked for you in the past and what challenges you may have encountered. Based on this discussion, we will establish one to three realistic and achievable goals for the coming weeks. This session is designed to be judgment-free and collaborative, creating a supportive and respectful environment as we develop a practical plan that fits your lifestyle.
