About Debra
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with an extensive 25 year history working at the Abramson Cancer Center at Pennsylvania Hospital which is a prestigious cancer center in Philadelphia. I guide individuals through their cancer journey by addressing common nutrition related symptoms that may be interfering with quality of life. After treatment, recovery is needed and survivorship care plans are essential.
Approach to care
It is important to first find out my client’s starting point and establish goals. Is there a level of comfort in the kitchen, or is cooking a new experience? Who is the primary cook in the household? What are motivating factors? Together we will create a realistic plan to help achieve these goals.
Your first session with Debra
The first appointment creates the foundation to build upon. A thorough nutrition assessment includes past medical history, weight history, a review of blood work (preferred if available), current food intake as well as lifestyle patterns. With this information, a nutrition action plan plan can be created.
