About Debra
I’m a Mayo Clinic-trained dietitian with over 10 years of experience in both adult and pediatric inpatient and outpatient care. During my time at Mayo, I focused on Solid Organ Transplant and the Hepatology Clinic, and I was part of multidisciplinary teams that developed the Fatty Liver Clinic, Cystic Fibrosis Clinic, and programs in Integrative and Functional Medicine. Now, I work at a leading pediatric hospital in South Florida as a Critical Care Dietitian, while also covering Solid Organ Transplant, 22Q Clinic, Nutrition Support, and GI. My main passion is preventing chronic disease and promoting health, inspired by my background in critical care and transplant nutrition. My goal is to help others enjoy life and prevent illness through anti-inflammatory nutrition strategies. I’m also an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Brain Trainer.
Approach to care
I am a compassionate listener. I aim to provide my clients with results oriented personalized, practical nutrition care solutions that benefit your health-span. My focus is on what works for you. I became a Registered Dietitian after being diagnosed with a chronic illness, and I truly practice what I preach. I follow an anti-inflammatory diet to manage multiple autoimmune conditions, including Hashimoto's, Sjögren’s syndrome, Celiac disease, and Autoimmune Neutropenia. My main passion is offering medical nutrition therapy to individuals dealing with complex chronic health issues.
