About Dina
Dina is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 18 years of counseling experience. Her passion is working with adults, children and teens who are struggling with binge/emotional eating or yo-yo dieting and are looking to have a healthy relationship with food and body image. Previously having prediabetes and gestational diabetes and currently living with ADHD, she has a special place in her heart for those struggling with the same. She also has significant experience working with chronic kidney disease, hearth health, women's health, picky eating and general wellness.
Approach to care
Dina takes a weight neutral and inclusive approach to helping clients nourish their overall well-being. Her personal challenges with disordered eating, prediabetes and ADHD help her to provide unique approaches to better health. She will guide you towards a healthy relationship with food using intuitive eating, mindful eating, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior approaches and simply listening to and caring about your goals and needs.
Your first session with Dina
During your first session Dina will conduct an extensive intake to best understand your past lived experience with food, your current challenges and your future goals. Together the two of you will create a roadmap that outlines all the critical pieces of what you need to work on together. Each session she will break that roadmap into small actionable steps that will progress you towards your larger goals. You should walk away from the first session with a clear picture of what you will be working on over the coming weeks/months to reach your goals, but also a sense of calm that it will be laid out in do-able steps.
