About Dorothy

Born and raised in Alabama. Received a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and a master’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from Auburn University. I love all things involved with nutrition , fitness and mental health. I recovered from an eating disorder after 17 years of suffering and want to help others on their recovery journey, as well. I became a dietitian so I could help others learn how to develop healthy relationships with their bodies and learn to take care of their mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

Approach to care

I view food as nourishment (not just fuel) and want to promote body acceptance while establishing a positive, healthy relationship with food. I want to promote intuitive eating and promote balance and enjoyment. Establishing a caring environment is my goal, and I want all clients to feel safe to share their thoughts and feelings with me.

Your first session with Dorothy

We will do a deep-dive into your eating habits, health, lifestyle, and goals. We will then build an individualized plan tailored to meet your needs and meet you where you are. There will never be any judgement, and I will be happy to address any questions or concerns you may have.
