About Eliza

Eliza is a registered dietitian and nutritionist based in Nashville, Tennessee. She specializes in eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, and nutrition-related health issues. Over the years, she has worked with kids, teens, and adults in treatment centers, hospitals, and private practice, always bringing empathy, humor, and heart to her work. Her approach is gentle and non-diet, focused on helping people heal their relationship with food and discover a way of eating that feels flexible, enjoyable, and sustainable. Whether you’re working toward recovery or simply looking for more peace with food, Eliza meets you where you are and walks alongside you every step of the way.

Approach to care

Eliza believes that everyone deserves to enjoy all foods and live a full, satisfying life, no matter their body size. Her approach is weight-inclusive and anti-diet, grounded in curiosity rather than judgment. She helps clients rebuild a healthier, more trusting relationship with food and their bodies, often using intuitive and mindful eating tools to support those navigating challenges like disordered eating, diabetes, or heart health, without strict rules or restriction. Her care is gender-affirming and trauma-informed, honoring that healing looks different for everyone. Eliza walks alongside each client, celebrating progress, exploring what feels good, and guiding small, sustainable shifts that bring more peace and enjoyment to eating, one step at a time.

Your first session with Eliza

Reaching out for support is a big step, and Eliza truly understands how much courage that takes. She takes time to get to know you, not just your health history, but your personal story, what’s been on your plate (literally and figuratively), and how you’re feeling, so she can support you as a whole person. In your first session, you’ll chat about your relationship with food, any medical conditions, sleep, stress, hydration, and movement. Follow-ups are like check-ins, time to talk through what’s working, what’s not, and make small, doable changes together. You might explore ways to nourish yourself with simple, love-filled one-pot meals, get cozy with slow-cooker favorites, learn more about nutrition, or find creative ways to cope when things feel tough. Every step is about building confidence, ease, and joy around food again.
