About Eliza

Hi! I’m Eliza DeAngelis, a Registered Dietitian who takes a holistic approach to nutrition and healing. I believe wellness is shaped not only by what we eat, but also by how we live — our stress levels, sleep, environment, routines, and connection to our bodies all play a role. I support clients with balanced, realistic nutrition while also exploring stress management, movement, sleep support, and gentle, food-first herbal and integrative strategies when appropriate. I work with people seeking support for general health and wellness, gastrointestinal concerns, diabetes management, and sustainable weight loss. My goal is to meet you where you are, and help you build habits that feel achievable long-term. I value compassion, curiosity, and collaboration, and aim to create a space where you feel comfortable asking questions and growing at your own pace. Together, we’ll focus on nourishing your whole self so you can feel more grounded, energized, and confident in your health journey.

Approach to care

I believe that health is about so much more than numbers or meal plans — it’s about caring for your whole self. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based nutrition with a holistic lens. I don’t believe in quick fixes, guilt, or restriction. Instead, I focus on gentle, sustainable changes that support your body and your life. I’ll meet you exactly where you are, take time to listen, and help you set realistic goals that feel realistic — not overwhelming. Together, we’ll build a supportive plan that honors your preferences, your culture, and your relationship with food.

Your first session with Eliza

Your first session is really just a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what you’d like help with. We’ll chat about your health goals, your day-to-day routine, what eating looks like for you right now, and any challenges or questions you have around nutrition or wellness. There’s no judgment, no tests, and no pressure. I’ll ask some gentle questions so I can understand what matters most to you and how I can best support you. By the end of the session, we’ll start to outline a simple, realistic plan together with a few small steps you can begin working on right away. We’ll also talk about what ongoing support might look like, so you always know what to expect moving forward. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and encouraged — not overwhelmed.

Education

MBA Louisiana State University Shreveport BS in Dietetics at the University of Rhode Island

Hobbies

Outside of my work as a dietitian, I love exploring herbalism and foraging- learning about plants, thoughtfully gathering them in nature, and creating my own teas, tinctures, and salves with respect and gratitude for the earth. I’m happiest when I’m outdoors — the sun energizes me, the ocean soothes me, and the forest helps keep me grounded. I also enjoy staying active, whether that’s going to the gym, walking, or trying a workout class, and I’m a huge animal lover. Overall, I try to live in a way that feels balanced, intentional, and connected to the world around me — the same approach I bring to my work with clients.
