About Eliza

Hi! My name is Eliza Petersen, and I am a registered dietitian from Georgia. With four years of experience in both the outpatient care setting as well as the sports setting. I have most recently worked as the Director of Football Nutrition at a Division I program. I am extremely passionate about sports nutrition and helping you learn how to fuel your body properly to perform your best. Known for being empathetic, energetic, and understanding, I am dedicated to helping individuals achieve their health goals. I have a passion for helping individuals find tools and recipes to help them lose weight, gain weight, or simply improve dietary choices. I love to grocery shop and meal prep, and I love to share that joy with others! My career has been dedicated to helping individuals achieve their weight and body composition goals. Whether you are just getting into exercising and improving your diet or managing a chronic disease, I am here to help!

Approach to care

My primary focus is to create realistic and achievable goals that easily fit into your daily life. I understand and adapt to your current nutrition habits in order to best implement change. Change can be scary. Change can be tough. My goal is to help make these changes less scary and tough! You are capable of big things, and I look forward to teaching you and supporting you as you make lifestyle and dietary changes. My nutrition philosophy is to utilize food as fuel and that all foods can fit into a meal plan, no matter what the end goal may be!

Your first session with Eliza

In our first session, my main priority is getting to know you! You can expect a lively dietitian who is eager to help you reach your health goals. In order for me to best help and serve you, I must gain an understanding of your lifestyle and your current situation - dietary habits, lifestyle, exercise regimen, supplements, hydration intake, etc. By gaining a better understanding of you, we will work to create both short and long term goals that will help you achieve the lifestyle you are working towards! The goals set will be personalized to YOU! I believe that everyone has to start somewhere and that there is no goal too small or too silly to help you achieve your best self. By the end of the initial session, we will work together to create 1-2 specific and reasonable short-term goals for you to work on prior to our next visit!
