About Elizabeth

Hi, I'm Elizabeth, and I'm so glad you're here. Elizabeth comes from a lead dietitian position at an eating recovery center where her passion lies in helping others become their own definition of health. Elizabeth specializes in intuitive eating as she is a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, ask her about what that means! She encourages her clients to reduce shame in food and movement choices but also uses gentle nutrition for all forms of medical nutrition therapy. Elizabeth is a Michigan native and St. Louis transplant. In her free time her passions are reading, cooking, trying new foods, hiking, and playing with her orange tabby cat, Freddie, who may join some sessions!

Approach to care

I take a compassionate, health at every size approach to care. This approach has been a way that I have seen the most success with my clients as food, health, body image, and movement can be sensitive topics. Some sessions you may find yourself emotional, other sessions you will be laughing at my idea of a joke. But overall, shame is not welcome in our session space, I want you to feel excited when you press join on zoom. This is a LGBTQA+ safe space.

Your first session with Elizabeth

In our initial assessment I will lead you through your food history in which we will talk about past diets, thoughts around food, and overall eating patterns. From there we will move into medical history, going over your past in which it may effect your health and wellness currently. After we will talk about what food looks like now, how you feel about grocery shopping, cooking, planning out meals, etc. Lastly we will talk about frequency of sessions and schedule a follow up appointment.
