About Elizabeth

Hi there, you can call me Liz. I am a Chicago based dietitian with a background in both exercise physiology and nutrition. I care immensely about well-rounded healthcare and feel food impacts many facets of our mental, physical and spiritual lives. I started my career in dietetics within hospitals, working in clinical nutrition with adult patients who were undergoing treatment for cancer, heart disease, GI dysfunction, renal disease and other chronic and acute conditions. I now work with children at a weight and wellness center, helping kids improve their health through nutrition while tending carefully to their relationships with food.

Approach to care

I want you to feel grounded in your choices with food. I stand by an approach that places your mental health as the most important coordinate to where we go with your care. You'll feel supported and empowered to make realistic steps toward your goals while being mindful of how these changes may impact other areas of your life. I am here to be a source of compassion, support and evidenced-based direction on your journey with nutrition.

Your first session with Elizabeth

Your story is valuable. During our first session, I'll open the floor for you to share what brought you here. This might include topics like: your history with food, the challenges you're currently experiencing, concerns for the future, exercise habits and likes/dislikes when it comes to behavior change. My goal for this session is to understand where you're coming from and grant you the space to feel completely heard. Sometimes the most difficult part of making a step forward in your health journey is showing up on the first day. You should feel proud of this, and I'll help to remind you of that.
