About Elizabeth
Elizabeth is a registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist. With a decade of experience in a wide range of nutrition specialties including heart health, kidney disease, weight management, she has found her passion in diabetes education. Counseling clients with Type 2, Type 1, and Gestational Diabetes feels like she is really making a difference in clients lives. Her favorite part of her job is seeing patients make changes and the results of improving blood sugar logs and CGM readings improve. She strives to make all her patients feel seen and heard by setting realistic goals to bring them closer to managing their physical and mental health.
Approach to care
Elizabeth uses a patient centered approach, meaning she will meet you where you are at. Elizabeth knows nutrition is more than just the foods you eat; it's your culture, your emotions, how you think of yourself and body, and your overall quality of life. She will challenge and push you to treat your body the way it deserves, while throwing in sarcasm and jokes, when appropriate. Making nutrition education fun and easy to understand will always be a goal during her sessions.
Your first session with Elizabeth
During our first session Elizabeth will spend time getting to know you and your goals. Understanding your lifestyle, habits, and routines is key to making a successful plan. Learning about your lifestyle and culture is important when providing education as we are all different and nutrition goals should be tailored to us all individually. You set small goals to get started and note things to be mindful of before planning for your next session to focus on education.
