About Elizabeth
My journey in nutrition began volunteering in a Veterans Affairs guest house. Taking the time to go over a simple recipe or a complex meal plan led to real changes in our guests lives. After working as a dietitian in a rural hospital, I learned the unique challenges facing a wide range of chronic conditions with limited resources. Then, in an large metropolitan medical system, I gained experience with the latest nutrition related care.
Approach to care
I look forward to translating evidence based research to collaborating with you to reach your health goals. You are the expert on your body and I believe in a partnership to guide you to find your best health through food. A non-diet, weight neutral approach centers care around disease prevention.
Your first session with Elizabeth
Our first session is all about getting to know you and your goals and preferences. We will talk about a typical week in your life and relevant health history. We will then discuss how you can set goals that work for you in the long term. Our visits will focus on empowering you to make realistic adjustments in your nutrition plan. Finally, we will tackle any obstacles getting in the way of your healthiest life.
