About Ellen
Hi, I'm Dr. Ellen, an advanced practice, doctorate-trained registered dietitian with over 13 years of experience helping people achieve lasting results in weight management, diabetes, PCOS, and healthy eating. Whether you're just starting your health journey, feeling stuck despite your best efforts, or struggling with stubborn weight, unpredictable blood sugar, or PCOS symptoms—I'm here to partner with you in creating sustainable change that fits your real life.
Approach to care
What makes my approach different? I don't believe in restrictive diets or cookie-cutter meal plans. Instead, I take time to understand your unique lifestyle, food preferences, and goals. Together, we'll create a personalized nutrition plan that works for your body and your life while helping you build a healthier relationship with food. I combine science with practical education and empowerment, so you leave each session with tools you can use immediately to start feeling better. My counseling style is warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I'm here as your partner, not to lecture you. We'll celebrate wins together, troubleshoot challenges without shame, and adjust your plan as needed. I use motivational interviewing and behavior change techniques to help you find solutions that actually work for your life. Many clients tell me they feel truly heard and supported, often for the first time.
Your first session with Ellen
In our first session, we'll discuss your health history, current concerns, and what success looks like to you. I'll give you actionable strategies so you can start making progress right away. Follow-up appointments keep you accountable, celebrate what's working, and problem-solve obstacles. You'll likely notice improvements in your energy, blood sugar control, confidence around food, and overall sense of wellbeing. Success looks different for everyone—maybe it's understanding how food affects your body, having energy to keep up with your family, or simply feeling at peace with eating. Whether you're managing diabetes, working toward weight goals, addressing PCOS, or building healthier habits, I'm here to guide you every step of the way. When I'm not working with clients, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my sorority sisters, and feeding fish in my backyard Koi pond. I can't wait to meet you and help you become the healthiest, happiest version of yourself!
