About Emilia
I know from working with a variety of patients over the years and my own personal experience that a healthy lifestyle is not just knowledge of what to do. Lasting change is about making choices again and again, and I enjoy helping people build simple systems that make those choices easier. Let's embark on this journey together and work on implementing changes in small steps that will be sustainable over time. I welcome patients of all ages, including children. For the past 10 years I have been working with kids with diabetes, pre-diabetes and obesity.
Approach to care
My work is guided by both evidence and empathy, integrating research with your lived experience. I take a weight-neutral perspective and concentrate on practical behaviors that support long-term health, not short-term fixes. Weâll move through this in clear, manageable steps with accountability that feels supportive, not overwhelming. I value explaining the "why" behind each recommendation, listening without judgment, and exploring sleep, stress, movement, and the emotional side of eating to help changes last.
Your first session with Emilia
When we meet, we'll take time to review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you have so we can make informed decisions together. Weâll explore your relationship with food, focusing on whatâs supported you, whatâs gotten in the way, and what you want to change. From that conversation we'll establish some short-term goals that are realistic for your life and outline practical, evidence-based steps to start. This visit is meant to feel easy and judgment-free - you donât need to have everything figured out ahead of time.
